The Baudin expedition to Australia and Timor of 1800–04 has largely been overlooked by the ornithological community.
The expedition has been largely overlooked by the ornithological community and only small parts of the collection have been researched and publicised. In the talk, Justin sought to provide a detailed and comprehensive catalogue of the expedition’s ornithological exploits. He hopes that by bringing together what is known about the collection and its dispersal, he can stimulate further research and a search for the pieces that are still missing.
