The latest issue of the BOC Bulletin (Vol. 138, No. 3 – September 2018) is now available for viewing or download. You can view the table of contents, abstracts and references, full text or downloadable PDFs of individual papers as well as the complete issue at the BioOne Complete website. You can also view the table of contents and download a PDF for the complete issue on the BOC website.

This issue contains eight papers of wide interest from An update on the inventory, distribution and residency status of bird species in Guatemala by Knut Eisermann & Claudia Avendaño  to In support of Pinto: Pernambuco as the type locality of Thalurania watertonii  by N. J. Collar & G. M. Kirwan and Records of Van Dam’s Vanga Xenopirostris damii in Mariarano forest, north-west Madagascar by Solohery Rasamison, Bruno Andriandraotomalaza Raveloson, Rachel Hannah Palfrey & Thomas Edward Martin.

Knut Eisermann and Claudia Avendaño’s extensive update, running to 82 pages, on the status and distribution of birds in Guatemala is relative to their 2007 summary and is based on a review of new published and unpublished records. The photo above of a female White-necked Jacobin incubating two eggs near Rocjá Pomtilá, dpto. Alta Verapaz, on 19 July 2009 was the first documented nesting record for Guatemala.

A full list of the papers published in each volume since 1993 can be viewed at the BOC Bulletin Index page.
